Software development
Custom systems and integrations, built and supported from Kampala.
+256 742 020 610, Mon to Fri, 8:00 to 18:00 EAT.
What is in the scope
We build the systems you cannot buy off the shelf: internal tools, integrations between the software you already run, customer portals and mobile apps. The same engineers who build Glide HMIS and Asset Manager work on client projects.
- Web applications and portals
- Mobile apps (Android first)
- API development and integration
- Migration from legacy systems
How an engagement runs
From first meeting to hand-over
- Discovery
- Two to three sessions with the people who will use the system. We write the scope down and price it.
- Build in the open
- A working version every two weeks that you can click through, not slides.
- Launch and hand over
- Training, documentation, source code and a support agreement.
Equipment and standards
We work with React, Node.js, NestJS, PostgreSQL, Flutter and Docker.
Before you get in touch
- Do we own the code you write?
- Yes. Source code, documentation and the accounts it runs on are handed over at launch. Nothing is held back as leverage, and you can take the project to another firm without asking us for anything.
- How do you price a build before you know what it is?
- We do not. The first two or three discovery sessions produce a written scope with a price against it, in shillings, and you keep that document whether or not you hire us.
- What happens if we change our minds halfway through?
- You see a working version every fortnight, which is the point of shipping that way: changing direction in week four costs a conversation, and changing it after launch costs a project.
